Choosing CSS

Through superior academics and mentoring, The Colorado Springs School prepares students to think independently and to meet the challenges of a dynamic world with leadership, ingenuity, problem-solving skills, and personal integrity.

We look forward to helping you explore a CSS education for your child and family. At The Colorado Springs School, personal engagement is the norm. Our students are confident, collaborative, innovative and prepared to succeed in this dynamic and ever-changing world! They not only get to know themselves via academics, clubs and athletic activities, but also discover the real world through an experiential and hands-on learning model that enables them to become critical thinkers and entrepreneurs; not just test-takers.

“At CSS, we know and value every child, support them as needed, encourage them to stretch beyond their comfort zones, and give them ample opportunity to grow in myriad ways — as they prepare for Kindergarten, elementary-, middle-, high school, college and beyond.”

We believe every child has the right to learn in an individual, unique way

Here at The Colorado Springs School, every child is known and valued. Individualized attention and small class sizes help to create a personalized environment where students can cultivate their own unique passions and realize their true potential. Teachers are invested in their students' success. No matter their interests, CSS students are inspired and aspire to make a difference.

We balance tradition and innovation

Our committed teachers, dynamic and hands-on curriculum, small class sizes, and authentic, real-world seminars reach and teach students in ways traditional educational environments cannot. At CSS, students learn actively, collaborate with teachers and peers who share feedback frequently, present their work across a variety of media, and take time to reflect on their academic experiences.

We are proudly independent

The Colorado Springs School is the only college-preparatory, day, and international school available to students grades PreK through high school in Colorado Springs, and has proudly served the Pikes Peak Region for more than 60 years. National studies show the advantages of PreK-Grade 12 schools for students at all age levels. The continuity of teachers, classmates, programs and expectations have been found to enhance the academic, social and emotional development of students, leading to greater academic achievement, improved self-esteem, and boosted confidence.
