The Colorado Springs School's 60 Years Gala & Auction was a smashing success, as approximately 140 current and past parents, major donors, faculty, staff, local partners, Board members, and volunteers came together on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the Louise Honnen Tutt Field House to celebrate the power of community and CSS.
Attendees enjoyed taking photos, sipping signature drinks and sampling hors d'oeuvres while browsing hundreds of Silent Auction items during the evening's cocktail reception. The dinner portion of the event was beautifully decorated with centerpieces provided by our friends from Sue's Floral & Fine Art Gifts and included a three-course wine pairing compliments of Veterans Liquor. After witnessing several performances from students within the Lower and Middle School divisions, and hearing an Upper School parent testimonial, the Live Auction kicked off with a fun-filled Heads and Tails game for the chance to win two door prizes.
This warm-up game signified the start of a truly phenomenal demonstration of community philanthropy, as the Live Auction and Raise Your Paddle event brought in an amazing $87,000 worth of donations from those in attendance! The evening concluded with champagne and dancing, ice cream and desserts.
