CSS Graduates are Prepared for a Dynamic World!

Celebrating more than 42 merits scholarships, totaling $3.8 million in reported awards, the 25 graduates in The Colorado Springs School’s Class of 2021 are prepared for a dynamic world.

While many colleges did not require standardized test scores, The Class of 2021 earned an average ACT score of 27 and SAT score of 1328. Meanwhile, their peers across the country reported a national average of 20.7 on the ACT and 1051 on the SAT. One student earned the status of a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist and a Boettcher Semi-Finalist, while another earned and a full-ride merit scholarship. Seventeen students in the class were members of the Ursa chapter of the National Honor Society, in addition to excelling in academics, as athletes, and as artists. Students in the Class of 2021 gained acceptance to 64 distinctive colleges and universities. The CSS Class of 2021 represents 10 zip codes throughout the Pikes Peak region.

While their senior year was disrupted by a global pandemic, these students faced challenges with grace and flexibility. They pivoted between eLearning and in-person classes, completed impressive Senior Capstones, and sat for Advanced Placement exams. The Class of 2021 embraced sprint athletic seasons, outdoor theatrical performances, and a Homecoming Dance and Prom on the Quad. Along the way, they also dominated several games of dodgeball.
