Upper School Experiential Education

UPPER SCHOOL (9-12th)

Experience-Centered Seminars

Experience-Centered Seminars (ECS) give Upper School students the chance to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges. Offered locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally, ECS experiences help students stand out as they prepare for college and beyond. Each March, students in grades 9–12 select a three-week ECS course from a wide range of offerings, from Geology of the Southwest and Journalism to Life in Cameroon. Students earn a full Carnegie unit of credit for their ECS experience.
