August - October
Locations change from year to year
Parents only (although some families coordinate childcare)
Each year the Parents Association organizes a grade-level parent mixer (formerly known as potlucks) hosted by individual families with the goal of building community. These parent events are a great way to meet or reconnect with other parents in your child’s grade level. A CSS tradition that welcomes new families and organizes the support network behind your children’s success. Held at the home of a parent, parent mixers are great way to build community one grade at a time.
Families are encouraged to volunteer to host. The Parents Association will help with date selection, class lists, invitation preparation and provide guidance. The meal can be formal, casual, structured or not. Some parents go together and coordinate babysitters.
For more information, contact event chair, Margot Gray, her contact information is in the school directory.
