Tuition: Affording CSS
The Colorado Springs School is committed to excellence and access. Through the school’s Tuition Lock initiative, innovative Indexed Tuition program, merit scholarship opportunities, and sibling and alumni discounts, an independent school education may be within reach for your student.
What is Indexed Tuition? A move away from the traditional approach to tuition costs and financial aid to an innovative model for determining the tuition investment for every student. This approach sets tuition for each student within a known range, attainable for the family. Please see the Applying for Indexed Tuition page for application information.

Why does the school use Indexed Tuition? The Board of Trustees is determined to make a CSS education accessible to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds and wants to avoid the “sticker shock” that can occur when families are presented only with the upper end of the tuition range. Recruiting other families to share in the costs and benefits of our premier, college-focused program, while still maintaining an appropriately small class size, will allow us to provide additional resources for your student to excel academically, artistically, socially and emotionally.
