Applying to CSS
We’re Thrilled You’re Considering The Colorado Springs School!
Each year we welcome 65+ new students who contribute to our community of curious, talented, motivated and kind learners. Our students love to learn and take risks, and they inspire us every day.
The purpose of the admission process is to ensure that our student population reflects the school philosophy as broadly as possible. There is no “typical” CSS student as the school seeks students and families with diverse backgrounds, talents, and interests. The school/family/student match is an essential part of the decision making process.
Criterion for admission includes: student interest and character, academic aptitude and achievement, recommendations and interview. In addition to evaluating individual merit and the appropriateness for a CSS education for each student, the composition of each class and what a student will bring to that dynamic is also considered.
Let’s get started…
Step 1: Visit our Campus
Step 2: Complete and submit an online application with the non-refundable $100 fee. February 1 is our deadline for priority consideration. Applications submitted after February 1 will be processed, as space is available.
Note: Preschool applicants must be age three by August 22 and be toilet independent to enroll. Kindergarten applicants must be age five by September 15 of the school year to which they apply.
