Young Explorers Extended Care

Young Explorers, formerly Extended Care, is offered to parents of students in PreKindergarten through Grade 5. Middle School students must be supervised after school during sports practices or at Learning Lodge.

Overview

The Young Explorers Extended Care program is a service offered within the Lower School that is intended to accommodate families with busy schedules. Students on campus before 7:45 a.m. or after 3:15 p.m. are required to be enrolled in the Young Explorers program, which is managed by the very same faculty and staff who know your child(ren) well. Due to a wide range of dietary needs and/or restrictions, parents must provide a healthy daily snack for their child. To ensure student safety, every adult assigned to staff the Young Explorers program is certified in Standard Precautions/CPR/First Aid.

For the 2023-2024 school year, Young Explorers will be held from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 7:00 to 8:45 a.m. on Wednesdays. In the afternoons, it will be held daily from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.

Registration for Young Explorers is required. Due to limited availability, we cannot accommodate drop-in appointments.
