¡Hola! This morning we all reunited at “Plaza Isabel la Catolica” after the first night in our homestays. We then headed to a local university, where we took a multiple-part test to determine our levels of spanish. ¡Toledo! Toledo is an ancient sleeping creature in the southern mountains of Spain. Well, in reality, it’s not sleeping; you can’t say that after seeing a parade of women (including many drums) going down the skinny, cobblestone streets.Our first view of Toledo was from outside it, looking down on the sprawling city. ¡Hola de España! If you haven’t seen it, we made it safely. We spent our first hours recovering from jet lag and exploring and discovering la ciudad maravillosa de Madrid.
