Brain Matters (5th and 6th Grade)

The Brain Matters course involves a multi-level look at the human brain, starting with lessons in nutrition and the anatomy of the brain. Students discover the innate connections between the physical and the psychological aspects of being a human. The experiential course includes activities such as hands-on dissection, food preparation, yoga, and advertisement development.

Rockets, Robots, Research (6th and 7th Grade)

R, R and R moves beyond self-discovery and exploration to see how individuals fit into the 21st century world around them. Students first engage in research to see how self-discovery has led to innovations that improve people’s lives. The course then moves to multi-sensory exploration involving map reading, geocaching, and robot building and programming.

Design & Deliver (7th and 8th Grade)

Design and Deliver focuses on creative problem solving, teamwork, and thinking outside the box. Frequent field trips expose students to deliberate design concepts and inspire students to develop their own original inventions. The development of prototypes culminates in a presentation to a panel of professionals in the design and business fields.
